1. What this policy covers
This policy explains what information discordjoblist collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We keep it short because we collect very little.
We are not affiliated with Discord Inc. When you use Discord itself, the Discord Privacy Policy applies to that data.
2. What we collect
When you sign in with Discord, we receive and store:
- Your Discord ID, username, and avatar
- The email address on your Discord account
- A temporary access token used to sign you in and, with your permission, add you to our Discord server
3. What we create about you
As you use the service, we also store:
- Job listings you post and applications you submit
- Your level and XP
- Session cookies that keep you signed in and remember preferences
4. How we use it
- To sign you in and keep your account secure
- To display your listings and applications to other users, which is the point of a job board
- To add you to our Discord server when you sign in, so we can reach you about your listings
- To power the levels feature
- To keep spam and scams off the board
5. What we never do
- We never sell your personal data
- We never post to Discord as you
- We never read your Discord messages or server list; our OAuth scopes cannot see them
- We never email you marketing without asking first
6. What other people can see
Job listings are public: anyone can see the listing content and the server it belongs to. When you apply to a role, the poster sees your Discord username, avatar, level, and your application answers.
Your email address is never shown publicly or to posters.
7. Advertising and analytics
We currently run no third-party analytics. If we introduce advertising or analytics in the future, we will update this policy first and prefer privacy-respecting options that do not track you across the web.
8. Where your data lives
Your data is stored in our application database and processed by our hosting provider. We only share data with services strictly needed to run the site, such as hosting and the Discord API.
9. Deleting your data
You can delete your account from your settings page at any time. Doing so removes your profile, listings, and applications from the service. Backups clear on a rolling schedule shortly after.
Leaving our Discord server does not delete your site account, and deleting your site account does not remove you from the Discord server; those are separate.
10. Children
discordjoblist is not for children under 13 (or the higher minimum age Discord requires in your country). If we learn we hold data belonging to a child under that age, we delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and announce material changes in our Discord server before they take effect.
