Terms of service

Last updated August 12, 2026

The short version: be honest in your listings, be decent to each other, and remember that deals you make with other users are between you and them. The long version follows.

1. Who we are

discordjoblist ("we", "us", "the service") is a job board that connects Discord communities with people looking for community roles: moderators, bot developers, artists, event hosts, and more.

We are an independent project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc. "Discord" is a trademark of Discord Inc.

2. Accepting these terms

By creating an account, posting a listing, or applying to a role, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required by Discord in your country) and comply with the Discord Terms of Service to use discordjoblist.

3. Your account

You sign in with your Discord account. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, so keep your Discord credentials safe.

When you sign in, you may be automatically added to our Discord server so we can reach you about your listings and applications. You can leave the server at any time without losing access to the site.

4. Job listings and applications

discordjoblist is a notice board, not an employer, recruiter, or payment processor. Agreements made between a server and an applicant, including pay, hours, and deliverables, are strictly between those parties.

We do not guarantee that any listing is accurate, that any role will be filled, or that any poster will pay what they promise. Do your own diligence before accepting work or hiring.

  • Listings must state compensation honestly, including "volunteer" where applicable.
  • Listings must be for real roles in real communities.
  • Scam listings, pyramid schemes, and pay-to-apply roles are removed and the poster banned.
  • Work that violates the Discord Terms of Service or Community Guidelines may not be listed.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings or applications.
  • Spam, scrape, or flood the service, or attempt to bypass rate limits.
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users.
  • Upload content that is illegal, infringing, or harmful.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other accounts.

6. Content standards and filtering

discordjoblist automatically screens searches, listings, interview questions, and applications for language that does not belong on a job board: profanity, slurs, sexual content, and, with zero tolerance, anything related to the exploitation of minors.

Content containing blocked language is rejected before it is published. Trying to sneak past the filter with creative spelling, symbols, or lookalike characters counts as a violation of these terms, and repeated attempts can lead to account suspension.

The filter is automated and imperfect. If something harmless of yours was blocked, or something harmful slipped through, report it through the help center and a human will review it.

7. Levels and XP

Levels and XP are a reputation feature, not currency. They have no monetary value, cannot be bought, sold, or transferred, and may be recalculated or reset if earned through spam or abuse.

8. Your content

You own the content you post: listings, applications, and profile information. By posting it, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to display and distribute that content on the service and through our Discord bot, which is how the board works.

We may remove content that violates these terms at any time.

9. Termination

You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, harm other users, or abuse the platform, with or without notice depending on severity.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. While we are in beta, features may change, break, or disappear without notice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including disputes between posters and applicants.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and announce it in our Discord server. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
